The 2016 Cayenne seats five and comes in seven trims: base, Diesel, S, S E-Hybrid, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S. The GTS and Turbo S models were on hiatus in 2015, and they return for the 2016 model year with increased power. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission are standard across the model line.
This luxury crossover seats five and offers an array of diverse powertrains. The engine lineup includes everything from a plug-in hybrid to a diesel to a turbocharged V8.
The 2016 Porsche Cayenne places the sleek and supple look of the brand’s sports cars in an SUV package. In front, a hood etched with deep character lines overlooks a wide grille and standard xenon headlights. The SUV’s profile gives it a look of being perpetually in motion and offers glimpses of the model’s standard power-folding heated mirrors, rails-only roof rack and body-colored door handles. In back, a standard rear spoiler overlooks crisp LED taillights and a body-colored bumper.
Base models come with 18-inch wheels, daytime running lights, fog lights and a power tailgate. Upgrades include LED headlights, auto-dimming side mirrors, running boards, skid plates, power rear-window sunshades and a panoramic sunroof. Nineteen-, 20- and 21-inch wheels are available.
